Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an intake appointment with us, please refer to the contact page and either submit a message or give us a call at 385-313-0603.

How long will I need to do treatment?

What things do I need to bring for my initial evaluation appointment?

At the time of your initial appointment, will need to bring a copy of your police report as well as a BCI background check. You will need to also provide us with the contact information for your court/legal supervision so we know where to send your progress reports.

How is my progress monitored?

We use the Utah standard for assessment of risk and needs using the IPV-RNE assessment. This assessment will inform us of the duration of treatment, as well as what services and supports each individual needs.

Attendance and participation are tracked at every group session. We will regularly report your progress to your designated supervision (court, probation officer, or attorney).

Is Minerva Counseling a court approved domestic violence treatment provider?

Yes, Minerva Counseling is certified through the Utah Association for Domestic Violence Treatment (UADVT) and licensed through the Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide court-approved DV treatment services.

What is the cost of services?

Are groups in-person or online?

Currently we only offer the option for groups in-person at our office. We do require that you are actively engaged in the group.

The initial evaluation is $100. We offer group counseling as well as the option for individual counseling if needed. Our groups are $40 per session, and individual counseling cost is $80 per session.
