Treatment Services
At Minerva Counseling we have the goal of helping each client achieve:
• Emotional regulation and stress management
• Restructuring pro-violent beliefs and cognitive distortions
• Identifying and interrupting abusive behaviors and patterns
• Communication, conflict resolution, and relationship skills
• Addressing mental health and trauma-related factors
• Power, control, and entitlement dynamics
• Victim impact awareness and empathy development
• Healthy boundaries, consent, and respect for autonomy
• Relapse prevention and risk management
• Accountability and sustainable behavior change

Clients begin the process by completing the state-required IPV-RNE assessment to look at risk factors and determine appropriate treatment level of care. The cost of the assessment is $175.

Once the evaluation has been completed, we then provide domestic violence treatment through groups or individual therapy.
Our groups use a variety of evidence-based domestic violence treatment methods: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), anger management, as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities. Multiple groups are held weekly and are $40 per group. All groups are held in-person.
Individual counseling is provided as needed and is $80 per 1-hour session
